Where the Wolf Meets the Wind: A Rescue Written in the Sky

This mission was a truly special one, and not just because we had the honor of meeting Ginger, the American red wolf.

After safely transporting Ginger to her conservation team in South Carolina, our pilots, MacKenzie Brendlen and Michael Nuzback, continued north in Big Paw, making every mile count by also carrying 18 dogs and 22 cats at risk of euthanasia for our amazing partners at Seuk’s Army.

These pups were welcomed with open arms by Live and Let Live Farm, S.N.A.R.R Animal Rescue Northeast, Ziva Dog Rescue, and The Incredible Pups Pet Rescue, where they’re now safe, loved, and waiting for their forever homes.

As for Ginger, she has safely arrived at her new home! Seeing her peek through her travel crate on her way to North Carolina filled us with the warmest fuzzies, a mix of awe, love, and gratitude, knowing we had a small part in ensuring her species’ survival.

This incredible American red wolf journey was made possible through the compassionate collaboration between the Wolf Conservation Center, the North Carolina Zoo, and our dedicated pilots. We’re deeply honored to help give Ginger safe passage and support the mission of preserving one of America’s most endangered species.

Huge thanks to ABC11 WTVD for shining a spotlight on Ginger’s story and raising awareness for the American Red Wolf recovery efforts.

From endangered species like Ginger to shelter dogs and cats searching for a second chance, every flight reminds us what’s possible when compassion takes to the skies. Together, we’re filling Big Paw and the world with hope.
