Tito’s Takes Flight: Turning Spirits into Second Chances
Every rescue mission is a testament to teamwork, resilience, and the power of partnership, and this latest journey proved just that.
When storms grounded our original plan, the mission team refused to give up. Weather delays, a broken-down van, and an unexpected overnight stay in Asheville couldn’t stop the determination to save lives. Thanks to our partners at Asheville Humane, every animal had a safe, warm place to rest before continuing their journey to freedom the next morning. Because when lives are on the line, we adjust, adapt, and keep going.
This mission carried 26 remarkable animals, each with a story of survival and hope. From tiny two-pound Chihuahua pups Jack, Jill, Josie, Jolly, and Jasmine, to Pepsi and Cola, the retriever mix siblings ready to light up a family’s home, every passenger represented a second chance. Skye, a gentle soul who spent her life in the shelter, finally took flight toward her future. Paddy, a senior dog with a golden heart, was one step closer to finding the comfort he always deserved. And Catalina, a tennis-ball-loving sweetheart once left behind, was finally racing toward a new beginning.
None of this would have been possible without the generosity of our sponsors and partners who make these lifesaving flights a reality.
A Huge Thank You to Our Sponsors
We extend our deepest gratitude to Tito’s Handmade Vodka and their Vodka for Dog People program for their extraordinary support. Their commitment to animal welfare and community care turned spirits into second chances, fueling this mission and so many others with heart and purpose. We’re also profoundly thankful to BISSELL Pet Foundation for their unwavering dedication to helping homeless pets find loving homes. Together, these partners make it possible for us to fly farther, rescue more animals, and change more lives.
Our heartfelt thanks also go out to the incredible sending shelters, McMinn Regional Humane Society, Rescue DOG of Mountain City, Rhea County Animal Shelter - Animal Shelter Alliance of Rhea, and Washington County, TN Animal Shelter, and to the receiving rescues, New Hampshire SPCA, PAWS Animal Adoption Center Maine, and Pope Memorial SPCA of Concord Merrimack County, who opened their arms to welcome these animals home.
From flight plan pivots to sunrise takeoffs, our pilots, crew, and volunteers showed that when compassion leads, anything is possible. This mission reminded us that it truly takes a village, and that every act of kindness can give wings to a better life.
If you want to help more animals reach safety, consider sponsoring a future mission. Together, we can keep flying forward and giving every rescue the second chance they deserve.
