Tiny Tofu’s Big Journey: From Surviving to Soaring

When Tofu was first found, his future looked uncertain. Weighing just 2.5 pounds, barely a third the size of his littermates, this tiny pup was starving and fighting a rare medical condition that made it nearly impossible for him to eat. His survival seemed unlikely.

But compassion changed everything. Thanks to a dedicated local volunteer and the lifesaving support of Mardi Paws, which covered nearly $10,000 in medical expenses, Tofu received the care and surgery he needed to thrive. At just 13 weeks old, he began gaining strength, energy, and, most importantly, hope.

Tofu’s story reached a new milestone: he took his freedom flight. Alongside 34 other cats and dogs, Tofu soared from Louisiana to New York. These animals are now safely on their way to Friends Forever Animal Rescue, where they’ll finally have the chance to find the loving homes they deserve.

Tofu’s journey is a reminder of what’s possible when compassion takes flight. Because of supporters like you, we’re able to continue these lifesaving missions, day after day, flight after flight.
