Three Pups, One Journey: From Texas Floods to New York Homes

Three brave dogs—Ripple, Anna, and Bryce—survived the devastating floods in Texas and found their way to safety and new beginnings in New York.

Each dog came from flood-affected areas where shelters were overwhelmed and under-resourced. Their individual stories of survival are remarkable, and their journey north marked a new chapter filled with hope and rescue.

Ripple had been abandoned outside a shelter, left behind during the chaos. Anna had grown up navigating the challenges of an overcrowded shelter system, but never lost her sweet spirit. Bryce, a stray puppy, arrived terrified, too frightened even to stand, but with love and care, she learned to walk and trust again.

Thanks to the emergency response team and generous donors, all three dogs were transported safely to Animal Haven NYC, where they are now beginning their paths toward forever homes.

This life-saving mission was made possible by the Texas Flood Relief Transport Fund. As Texas shelters continue to manage the surge in intakes, support is urgently needed to keep the fund active so the team can respond to the next call for help.

Special thanks go to mission partners Dallas Pets Alive and Animal Haven, and to the dedicated flight crew—Victor, Michael, and Jennifer—whose commitment made this rescue possible.
