Sunrise, Wag, Repeat: 24 Tails Take Flight Toward Hope

There’s something magical about the moment a plane door closes, engines hum to life, and a cabin full of furry passengers sets off toward a brighter tomorrow. That magic filled the skies as 24 dogs took off on one unforgettable mission, flying from overcrowded shelters in South Carolina to open arms and new beginnings up north.

Thanks to the generosity of our friends at Hartz, these pups swapped uncertainty for opportunity, embarking on a journey led by our dedicated pilots Stephen and Ryan. From sunrise takeoff to sunset landing, every mile carried more than just fur and wagging tails; it carried hope.

Partnering with the SE Coast SC Rescue Collaboration, this mission was a team effort rooted in compassion and second chances. Many of these dogs came from heartbreaking situations, shelters stretched beyond capacity, time running short, and futures unclear. But because of the incredible work of our rescue partners, Eleventh Hour Rescue, Freedom First Rescue, Mt. Pleasant Animal Shelter, and Social Tees Animal Rescue, their stories are being rewritten.

Each smile, tail thump, and curious snout pressed against the window reminded us why we fly: to move animals from risk to rescue, from “no room” to “welcome home.”

To everyone who makes these moments possible, our partners, sponsors, and the compassionate souls cheering us on, thank you for helping us lift hearts (and paws) sky-high.

Here’s to more flights, more happy landings, and more tails wagging at 10,000 feet.
