No More Uncertainty—Just Sky Miles and Second Chances

Twenty-two dogs traded uncertainty for hope as they took to the skies on their journey toward brighter futures.

PTTR volunteer pilots MacKenzie and Paul landed at Tri-Cities Airport in Tennessee to meet the pups from Washington County Animal Shelter. From there, the dogs—ranging from tiny Stella, just 6 pounds, to gentle giant Casey, weighing 65 pounds—boarded their “flight to freedom.”

Their destination was safe, loving shelters that were already preparing them for adoption: Middletown NY Humane Society, Mt. Pleasant Animal Shelter, Paws on the Green, and Tyler's Rescue Inc. Each partner quickly began working to get the dogs adoption-ready so they could soon meet their forever families.

This lifesaving mission wouldn’t have been possible without the incredible teamwork of so many: the shelter staff on the ground, our dedicated volunteer pilots in the air, and the generous support of our community, cheering them on every step of the way.

Because of this effort, 22 dogs left behind uncertainty and stepped into the chance to find the homes they’ve always deserved.

If you’re searching for your next best friend—or know someone who is—this was the perfect time to spread the word and share their stories. Together, we turned rescue dreams into forever homes.
