Nineteen Hearts, One Journey Home

Nineteen dogs were given a chance at a new beginning through a journey made possible by compassion, teamwork, and dedication.

The day began in Florence, South Carolina, where these dogs were waiting for the next step toward a safer future. Volunteer pilots August Lim and MacKenzie Brendlen flew in with a shared purpose: to carry them forward to the next leg of their journey. With care and coordination, each dog was loaded aboard, leaving behind uncertainty and moving toward hope.

Their flight brought them to Essex County Airport, where Albert was waiting to complete the final stretch. From there, he drove them safely the rest of the way to Rhode Island, where new opportunities, loving homes, and brighter days awaited.

This mission was a reflection of what can happen when people come together with a shared goal. Every mile traveled represented a step closer to safety for these nineteen dogs.

We are deeply grateful to everyone who made this possible, especially our dedicated volunteers and our incredible partners at Chesterfield County Animal Services, East Greenwich Animal Protection League, and Jersey Girls Animal Rescue. Because of this collective effort, nineteen lives were changed forever.
