Grounded in Rescue, Driven by Heart
Before sunrise, Albert hit the road to pick up 14 dogs from partners in the Southeast Coast SC Rescue Collaboration. These animals came from overcrowded shelters, including Saint Frances Animal Center and Williamsburg County Animal Care and Control, where staff worked tirelessly to ensure each dog had a chance at a better life.
Thanks to the dedication of the ground team and the support of Freedom First Rescue in Pennsylvania and Mt. Pleasant Animal Shelter in New Jersey, the dogs were transported safely and are now ready to be matched with forever families.
This mission demonstrated the critical role of ground transport in animal rescue. By reaching animals in hard-to-access areas, the team was able to save more lives and provide hope where it was needed most.
The long-term goal remains clear: a world where no animal is ever euthanized due to lack of space or transport options. Every mission, like this one, brings the team closer to that vision.
