Forty Cats, One Freedom Flight
June's Adopt a Cat Month was the perfect time to celebrate a very special rescue mission. On this unforgettable Freedom Flight, 40 deserving cats of every color, age, and personality boarded one of our aircraft for a journey toward brighter futures.
Traveling 1,803 miles from Florida, through South Carolina, and into New England, these feline passengers left behind uncertainty in exchange for the opportunity to find loving forever homes. While some of the cats were a little unsure as they made the trip from the warm Florida sunshine to the cooler temperatures of New England, they were welcomed by bright sunshine upon arrival, helping them settle into the next chapter of their lives with comfort and hope.
Every rescue mission reminds us that a safe journey can change an animal's future. Thanks to the dedication of our volunteer pilots, Michael Nuzback and August Lim, these 40 cats were given the chance to begin again.
At Pilots To The Rescue, we are honored to play a role in connecting animals with the loving homes they deserve, one flight at a time.
