Flying into fall with 40 feline pawsengers
Some missions remind us exactly why we do what we do, and this one was extra special. Forty cats and kittens lifted off from overcrowded shelters in Florida, bound for rescue partners across the Northeast, where brighter futures awaited them.
This transport carried an extra layer of excitement—it marked the first-ever mission for volunteer pilot Lucas Wirz! With guidance from experienced pilot MacKenzie Brendlen, Lucas helped ensure every crate, carrier, and tiny passenger was safe, calm, and cared for throughout the journey.
From the soft hum of the engines to the gentle purrs in the cabin, this flight carried more than passengers; it carried hope. Each cat landed with a second chance, and every mile flown reflected what compassion and teamwork can achieve.
Welcome to the team, Lucas, and heartfelt thanks to everyone who helps make these lifesaving missions possible.
