A Night of Hope, A Road Full of Wags

Thirty-one deserving dogs were given a fresh start thanks to another incredible display of teamwork, dedication, and compassion.

This special transport spanned hundreds of miles, beginning in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, continuing through Ashland, Virginia, and ending in East Hanover, New Jersey. Two Pilots To The Rescue vans worked together to make the journey possible.

Our South Carolina van drivers, Christina and David, drove through the night to ensure the dogs stayed on schedule. In Ashland, Virginia, they met our New Jersey van drivers, Stephen and Peter, who took over the final leg of the trip, safely delivering every dog to the next chapter of their lives.

Every mile traveled represented hope for animals who had been waiting for a second chance. Because of the dedication of our volunteer drivers and rescue partners, these dogs moved one step closer to finding the loving families they deserved.

We are incredibly grateful to our rescue partners who made this life-saving mission possible: SE Coast SC Rescue Collaboration, Grand Strand, Horry County Animal Care Center, Williamsburg County Animal Care and Control, Freedom First Rescue, and Mt Pleasant Animal Shelter. Their commitment to working together gave thirty-one dogs the opportunity for brighter futures.
