A Family Flight That Carried Six New Beginnings

Some rescue missions are special not only because of the lives they save, but also because of the people who come together to make them possible.

On this meaningful mission, our Top Dog, Michael Schneider, took to the skies in the Bonanza with two of his sons by his side. Together, they flew to Ocean Isle Beach, where six dogs were waiting patiently for their chance at a better life.

For these dogs, the journey began in shelters where days were filled with uncertainty and hope for someone to notice them. When the Bonanza arrived, that hope finally turned into action. One by one, the six dogs were carefully loaded for their flight, each of them beginning a journey that would carry them far beyond the life they had known.

The small aircraft lifted off with a cabin full of quiet anticipation and wagging tails. With Michael and his sons guiding the flight, the dogs were carried safely toward rescue partners who were ready to welcome them and help them continue their path toward loving homes.

This mission was a beautiful example of what rescue truly looks like. A family sharing their time and skills, a small plane becoming a lifeline, and a network of compassionate organizations working together to give animals a second chance.

We are deeply grateful to Horry County Animal Care Center, Saint Francis Animal Center, Brookline Lab Rescue, Mt Pleasant Animal Shelter, and New England Lab Rescue for helping make this lifesaving mission possible.

Six dogs boarded that Bonanza with uncertain futures. By the end of the journey, they were already on their way to the safe and loving lives they deserve.
