How You Can Help Save Animal Lives
In 2025, Pilots To The Rescue proudly celebrates 10 years of saving lives—made possible by our generous supporters and rescue partners. I still remember our very first mission in 2015, when we transported a litter of puppies to safety. That same spirit of compassion drives us today.
Pilots To The Rescue continues to thrive because of amazing people like you who give vulnerable animals a second chance. Whether you’re flying, fostering, funding, or raising awareness—every effort matters. You don’t need wings to be a hero. Your actions make all the difference.
Here a few ways you can make a difference:
Donate—even small gifts make a big difference. Every dollar supports transportation operations that prevent euthanasia of at-risk pets. When we launched Pilots To The Rescue, we crowdfunded over $12,000 in just 48 hours—proof that collective effort is powerful.
Adopt, Don’t Shop. Giving a shelter pet a forever home directly reduces the number of animals in shelters and rescues. Adoption also makes space for another animal in need.
Open Your Home to A Foster: Even short-term fostering saves lives. It eases shelter crowding, helps animals adjust to home life, and increases their chance of being adopted.
Fundraise. Shelters and rescues always need supplies (food, bedding, litter, toys) and financial support. Hosting a fundraiser online, asking friends to donate on your birthday, or collecting towels or toys are great ways to get involved.
Volunteer Your Time or Skills. Reach out to your local shelter or rescue and volunteer to walk dogs, socialize cats, help at adoption events, transport animals, or offer professional skills (photography, marketing, carpentry, etc.).Understaffed organizations will appreciate the help!
Advocate and Educate: Spread awareness about spay/neuter, adoption, and responsible pet ownership. Share local shelter posts, talk to friends and family, or join campaigns pushing for stronger animal welfare laws.
