We are urgently trying to rehome Lily, a 3 1/2 year-old, 30lb beagle mix we rescued in December. She has resource guarding behaviors with other dogs that make her unsafe for our home with young children, though she has been wonderful with every person she has met, including our kids.

After months of searching, we finally found a potential adopter in Bend, Oregon, but we need help getting her there. Her current foster can no longer keep her after this week, and returning her to the rescue she came from would likely result in euthanasia.

We have contacted over 30 rescues in NC and VA, reached out through adoption sites, fire stations, and personal networks, but finding placement has been extremely difficult. If you can help with transport, you may truly be helping save Lily’s life.
