Hello everyone. My name is Stephen Buzzell Jr., a retired Florida firefighter and critical care paramedic. My father, Stephen Buzzell Sr., a retired Florida firefighter, lieutenant, and EMT, passed away on May 6, 2026, after a long battle with prostate cancer. He was my best friend, and before he passed, he entrusted me with his beloved senior cat, LiL-Bit.

Unfortunately, LiL-Bit cannot live with me in Utah because she does not get along with my emotional support cat. Thankfully, my sisters have offered to give her a loving forever home near Asheville, North Carolina.

I will be in Gainesville from July 3 to July 12 to finish settling my father's estate, but I do not have reliable transportation to get LiL-Bit to North Carolina. I also learned that surrendering her to a shelter would likely result in euthanasia because of her age, and I cannot let that happen.

I live just minutes from the Gainesville airport, and my sisters are close to the Asheville airport, making air transport the perfect solution.

Please help us give LiL-Bit the chance to live out her golden years surrounded by love, just as my father would have wanted. Thank you for your kindness and support.
