Kai is a Lab/Pitbull mix, 9 years old and about 80 pounds. He is currently at Cobb County Animal Services in Marietta, Georgia. Being a large, black, senior dog, his chances of being adopted are pretty low especially in an overcrowded shelter. He was an owner surrender due to no fault of his own, and I personally do not feel that senior dogs deserve to spend their remaining years in a shelter or worse, euthanized because of a lack of space.  I live in North Dakota, so transport is the only way to get him out of the shelter and into a home - aside from me, there has been zero interest in someone adopting Kai. I am exhausting all resources to try and get Kai out of the shelter, into a rescue (I have two that are willing to pull him from the shelter and prep for transport), and home with me and my family.  I fear Kai's time is ticking down quickly.
